Scoop out just a small amount of wax (fingernail-sized) and rub well on palm.   Avoiding the fringe, run fingers through hair thoroughly, lifting from the roots.   Take the same amount of loose shuffle and rub between palms again, this time making sure to run well in between fingers.   Run your hands through your hair and scrunch well at the crown, sides and back of hair, all the while avoiding the fringe again.

For definition, twist desired hair ends around your fingers 5~6times.   Separate the hair ends that you have curled into two strands. Twist each strand between your thumb and index finger for a natural feel.   Place hand on the crown of head, press down such that only the on your head. Next, tease out the strands of hair that peek out from the spaces between your fingers and twist well.   Finally, arrange hair such that it follows along the outline of your face.

Advice by apish Rita Dai Sato
A complicated silhouette with natural flow and
movement is your way to creating air permed-style. Create contrast and dimension by further emphasizing on flat and raised areas.
Flatten sides and hair at nape while raising hair
ends at crown. Using your thumb and index finger, further split hair strands into smaller sections to create even more natural volume.
